Anyone used this stuff to remove scratches and stone chips? According to this Consumer Report
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRmhc0EMRRw&feature=fvw
(and to various car magazine ratings on the Quixx website) it's almost magic!.....And they also manufacture a Quixx acrylic repair kit for headlights and other clear plastic.

In Canada they're both available at Canadian Tire at $19.99 for the scratch remover and $14.99 (I think) for the acrylic repair kit.

Has anyone tried either one?

From Meguiars website....."SCRATCH X 2.0 does more than just fill in and mask the problem; it’s a powerful polish that actually buffs the offending blemish away--without causing harm to your paint. Now, common sense will tell you that if a scratch is especially deep, or the paint has been chipped you need more than a polish....."

For light scratches I find it's much cheaper to just use a dab of toothpaste (yes TOOTHPASTE!) on a dry, soft cloth and rub gently over the area, then wash off and re-wax. I've done this on previous cars and it works perfectly on light scratches. I haven't tried using the gel-type toothpastes, though. I've always used the white stuff.

If you watch the video clip I attached in my original post, you'll see that (around 17 sec mark) Scratch-X was included in the Consumers Reports test of seven different scratch removers -- and Quixx was the winner and was voted better than Scratch-X.

So I'm asking specifically about Quixx, as they claim it can repair stone chips and deep scratches.....
